Y’all we have been on a hiatus but guess what?!?! It’s that time again! The Thrift Store Swap is BACK and our little group has grown! We have added more bloggers so that gives us a total of 10 bloggers in our swap circle now! That means even more FABULOUS finds and make-overs for our little swap circle to share with all of you. First things first though, we must give credit to the group founder, Lyn over at MidMichigan Mom. This whole swap was her idea and what a great one idea it was!
This is how our swap works: Everyone in our circle buys two items for $10 and then sends it to their fellow blogger buddy. We make a huge circle and all 10 of us receive and send something to repurpose. That’s 20 projects in all that will be revealed!
This time around I received my goodies from Brenda of Unique Junktique. I must say she sent me some FABULOUS goodies! For this reveal, I am only showing what I did with one of the items I received. With that said, when I opened my box and saw this spice rack I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!
To know me is to know that I LOVE nail polish! I have recently re-organized my make-up with some really cute organization kits but neglected to purchase anything for all of my Essie nail polishes. Now I know it was a blessing in disguise because this spice rack was perfect for my nail polish display!
I decided that this would be hung in my master bathroom and I wanted it to match the colors in there so I spray painted it white. I gave it two coats of a glossy white.
Once dried, I knew it needed something but couldn’t figure out what it needed. I went over a few different ideas but none of them seemed right. Then I went to Target to pick up a few things, as I always do, and happened to walk down the arts & crafts isle. Then I found “it”!! I saw this adhesive vinyl wording pack and the quote, “Hello Beautiful” just seem appropriate!
I did have to trim the wording down just a bit because I wanted it centered but you would never know by looking at it applied.
This vinyl was so easy to apply! I love it! I also purchased a very small floral vase to give it even more of a feminine touch. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! I love being able to see all of my Essie nail polish on display! I am obsessed with this nail polish!
I am so happy with the way this display turned out! It is always so nice to have all your products in one place and easily accessible when needed. It also helps that it looks so pretty and girly!
I’ll be posting next week the additional swap item that I received and it turned out pretty awesome if I should say so myself!
